WHO WE ARE

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

BRIEF FROM HISTORY

We have grown over the past ten years and now have large numbers of young people , children and adults worshiping together every Sunday. We are part of the United Reformed Church, linked to the Evangelical Alliance and Transform Newham.

OUR VISION

Our congregation has an international flavour and we seek to serve all communities in Plaistow and across Newham. Most of our members live in Newham, many within walking distance of the church.

For people new to church we often run a START! group – a chance to (re)discover the Christian faith in small groups –

Age: We go back over 100 years, but Christ Church Newham was re-named in 2009. Our oldest member is over 80, our youngest under 2 years

From: Over 20 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia , the Americas
Numbers: Over 80 households are part of us. Some are new to us and finding out what church is about , others have been with us since birth!

Style: We hold together a mix – loud and joyful, quiet and thoughtful. New and traditional.

OUR MISSION

Our mission statement can be summed up in three words:

WORSHIP | Loving God:
We reach up through worship.

FELLOWSHIP | Serving Each Other:
We serve God by serving each other.

OUTREACH | Changing The World:
We have to be bold and courageous. Jesus commanded us to go into the entire world and present the good news.
